How to make a fool of yourself. (For Juniors aged 8 – 12) An afternoon of Slapstick and Clowning

What's one of the things that makes pantomime so funny? The physical comedy!

Learn how to fall on your bum, trip other people up, trip yourself up, get knocked out and how to generally make a fool of yourself. And if you're lucky you might even learn how to make people laugh!

You don't need to prepare anything, but please bring a couple of items of clothing you really hate wearing, and be ready to be silly in them!

You'll be taught by actor Philip Kingscott, who has been a professional for over ten years.

Pantomime In A Day - "Aladdin and Great Italian Lamp Robbery" (For Juniors aged 8 - 12 )

Someone is stealing all the lamps in Varese. What's going on?

It's up to Aladdin, his mum and their friends to save the day!

We will have one day to write, rehearse and stage our very own pantomime, before performing to an audience that night.

Please prepare your own little talent show performance, it could be a song, a dance or even some jokes, to be included in the snake charming scene to be performed for his royal highness Sultan Shish Kebab.

Getting to grips with Shakespeare (for older Juniors and adults)

Gird your loins for a day of learning about Shakespeare and how to perform Shakespeare!

We will look at the history and culture that the plays were created in.

We will learn period dances, including the Farandole and Pavane.

We will try to unlock Shakespearean language.

And we will perform Shakespeare in the style and environment they were originally performed in.

Philip is a professionally trained actor, including Shakespeare training with RADA. He has also worked for theatres such as National Theatre of Scotland and Piccolo Teatro di Milano and in film and TV including Outlaw King for Netflix and Outlander for Amazon Prime.
