THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

One of the biggest changes to EU data privacy law came into effect on 25 May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR, means that you now have more control over how your data is used. And it ensures that organisations such as the Benvenuto Players continue to protect your personal data.

To reflect these changes and new obligations, we’ve updated our privacy notice which tells you what we do with your personal data, how it’s used and your rights as an individual under the new law.

We are committed to providing you with details of upcoming events, activities and other news via our website and by email.

Your data is stored safely and is never given to any third party. Should you wish to unsubscribe or update your email address, please get in touch with us via email: info@thebenvenutoplayers.org. If no action is taken by you, we will continue to send emails to the address you have provided.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be used by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By visiting thebenvenutoplayers.org or by emailing us at info@thebenvenutoplayers.org you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you.
This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

Request erasure of your personal information.

If you want to review, verify, correct or request erasure of your personal information, object to the processing of your personal data, or request that we transfer a copy of your personal information to another party, please email:info@thebenvenutoplayers.org.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may refuse to comply with the request if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive.

What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights).
This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

Right to withdraw consent
In circumstances where you may have provided your consent to the collection and processing of your personal information for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent for that specific processing at any time. To withdraw your consent, please contact info@thebenvenutoplayers.org. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so in law.
